You’ve already missed it. It’s the crack of dawn.
I THINK ITS AROUND 9 10 O’CLOCK
u might fall in like carl winslow did on family matters
Hmmm. My advice is take an experienced Ice fisherman with you. It sounds like you know just enough to make the 11 p.m. news as a drowning victim. I’m serious. Don’t play around on the ice unless you have someone around who knows what to do.
Why on earth would you want to sit out on a frozen lake waiting to catch a frozen fish :0
One site suggests noon to 1pm as the best time. This site may provide some information, too.

The best times to fish will depend on several factors including what the target species is, weather patterns and the solunar chart. If you are fishing for walleye you would set up later in the day and stay well after dark. Most panfish can be caught during daylight hours and several tend to bite well after dark. Here is a link to a solunar calender that you can use for your particular area. Just follow the directions and plug in your zip code. Good luck!

I have my best luck in the late afternoon. Check out some fishing sites for tips-http://lakekab.com, http://fishingminnesota.elementfx.com or http://iceleaders.com
Early morning (lol before
is best….I don’t know what your fishing for but live minnows usually work well. Make sure the lake is frozen to the proper thickness to support your weight. Also make sure if you are using lures it is is something made for jigging not for trawling
. Hope you have a good time!
go for it anyway. my best fishing is when l can. no matter the time. just watch that ice. if you see some other people out there, join them. they probably already have the fish surrounded.
find an experienced fisherman – a mentor to ice fish with – we’ve gone at all hours of the day/night – whenever we had time and shiners or jigs.
